A blessing of pets is held around the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi\, where anyone can bring their animal companions to church (dogs\, cats\, birds\, any animal creature) to receive a blessing and celebrate the special bond between humans and animals. \nOur annual Noah’s Ark Pet Blessing is usually held on the Sunday nearest to Saint Francis’ Feast Day. We try to have several vendors with information and services available for your pet\, and pets for adoption during this event. Please make sure that your pet is leashed or caged for your pet and other’s protection. \nWe will also have several vendors with information and services available for your pet\, and pets for adoption during this event. It’s amazing to see them engage! \nThe priest will invite them to come forward after the Opening Prayer\, receive a blessing and head to the chapel with our catechist. \nThey’ll return right after the homily…giving you a chance to really listen\, too.  Children receive a take-home activity sheet which enhances the weekly lesson from the gospel. \nNo need to sign up!
