SUMMARY:The Holy Archangels
DESCRIPTION:Every September 29\, we celebrate the Feast Day of the Archangels — Saint Michael\, Saint Gabriel\, and Saint Raphael.\nMichael\, (God’s warrior) was the archangel who fought against Satan and all his evil angels\, defending all the friends of God. He is the protector of all humanity from the ‘snares of the devil’. Gabriel (Strength of God) announced to Zachariah the forthcoming birth of John the Baptist\, and to Mary\, the birth of Jesus. His greeting to the Virgin\, “Hail\, full of grace\,” is one of the most familiar and frequent prayers of our Catholic faith. Raphael (Medicine of God) is the archangel who took care of Tobias on his journey. \n\nSaint Michael is the patron saint of grocers\, soldiers\, doctors\, mariners\, first responders\, and police. More importantly\, he is the Guardian of the Church\, as he was shown to be of Israel in the Old Testament (Daniel 10).\nSaint Gabriel is the patron saint of telecommunication workers\, radio broadcasters\, postal workers\, and messengers.\nSaint Raphael is the patron saint of travelers\, blind people\, nurses\, pharmacists\, physicians\, and people who are ill.\n\nCelebrate with us by joining us at our Mass or Prayer Service. Click/tap here for the schedule. \nClick/tap here to learn more about the Feast Day of the Archangels.

SUMMARY:The Holy Guardian Angels
DESCRIPTION:It’s good to know we’re not alone. On October 2\, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels.\nThe Gift of Our Guardian Angels Reflection:\nThis ancient belief has roots in Scripture. In Matthew’s Gospel\, Jesus implies the special guiding care of the angels. “See that you do not despise one of these little ones\, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father” (Matthew 18:10). Our guardian angels are given to us by God to protect and watch over us from the moment of our conception until the hour of death. Let’s pray together to our own heavenly help: Angel of God\, my guardian dear\, to whom God’s love commits me here\, ever this day be at my side to light\, to guard\, to rule\, and to guide. Amen. ©LPi \nCelebrate with us by joining us at our Mass or Prayer Service. Click/tap here for the schedule. \nClick/tap here to learn more about the Feast of the Guardian Angels.

SUMMARY:Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi
DESCRIPTION:Saint Francis is remembered for his generosity to the poor\, his willingness to minister to the lepers\, and for his love for animals and nature. He is the Catholic Church’s patron saint of animals and the environment.\nIn honor of Saint Francis of Assisi\, the blessing of animals shows that all of God’s creatures are cherished and beloved. A blessing of pets is held around the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi\, where anyone can bring their animal companions to church (dogs\, cats\, birds\, any animal creature) to receive a blessing and celebrate the special bond between humans and animals. \nOur annual Noah’s Ark Pet Blessing is usually held on the Sunday nearest to Saint Francis’ Feast Day. We try to have several vendors with information and services available for your pet\, and pets for adoption during this event. Leading up to the pet blessing\, our Noah’s Ark Ministry will have animal cages at the entrance of the Church for donation of pet food or gently used blankets and towels to the local animal shelter.\nThe Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi provides an opportunity to teach children about endangered or abused animals and what we can do to help.
