Saint Rita’s Rescue Ministry

Addressing Human Trafficking & Fostering Awareness

Inspired by the compassion and strength of Saint Rita, our mission is to educate, advocate, and bring hope to those impacted by human trafficking.

Leaders: Alan Bartholomew at alanbart613@gmail.com or Gabby Moss at GYatson@StAmbrose.us.

A Crisis Close To Home

Human trafficking is a pressing issue that affects communities across the nation, including our own. Ohio ranks among the top states in the U.S. for human trafficking cases, with a rate of 3.84 victims per 100,000 residents. It is estimated that only 1% of survivors of human trafficking ever get identified; and 84% are trafficked by a relative or someone they know personally.

How Saint Rita’s Rescue Ministry Helps

When a victim is rescued from a trafficked situation, he or she has usually been living in very unclean environments. We provide donated items for a rescue/dignity kit for these survivors. Donations can be dropped off at the Parish Office Attention to Gabby Moss.

Items include:

NEW Women’s clothing: T-shirts, Shorts, Leggings, Socks, Underwear, and Sports Bras; all sizes.
Toiletries: Bottles of Shampoo/Conditioner/Lotion/Body Wash, Toothpaste, Mouth Wash, Razors and Shaving Cream.
Misc. Items: Hand Sanitizer, Lip Balm, Pens, Journals, Hair Ties

PLEASE NOTE: Travel or Hotel Sized Items can be triggering for those on the receiving end and not accepted out of respect for their healing process.

Give an Offering to Saint Ambrose Parish

Thank you for all you do for our parish community.

Our parish financial obligations continue and we need to continue to do the work of the Lord.   Please, if you are able, drop off your weekly offering at the Parish Office, drop in the mail, or make an offering online.  We really need your continued support for our community.

Your gift to God expresses your own awareness of the blessings of God in your life and your desire to be a cheerful, joyful giver of those gifts to support the mission and ministry of Jesus in our parish community. “God loves a cheerful giver.” (II Cor 9, 6)
